JADEN BUENO

BIOGRAPHY

Jaden is a Utah based freelance musician who is most recognized for his commercial/lead trumpet playing. He is also the Executive Producer for Caleb Chapman’s Soundhouse. In 2013, he performed with Caleb Chapman’s premier group, the Crescent Super Band, at a packed performance at Carnegie Hall.  Jaden has had the opportunity to share the stage with the likes of Wayne Bergeron, Wycliffe Gordon, David Sanborn, Jeff Coffin, Randy Brecker, Ed Calle, Rashawn Ross, Francisco Torres and many more. He has also played with members of Toto, Journey, Imagine Dragons, Tower of Power, Gordon Goodwin’s Big Phat Band, the Yellowjackets, Neon Trees, Snarky Puppy and others. He has traveled and performed in Mexico, Croatia, Spain, New Orleans, San Francisco, the Neatherlands, Italy, New York and major festivals around the globe, including the Vienne Jazz Festival, Umbria Jazz Festival and the North Sea Jazz Festival. He has been awarded 5 Downbeat awards for his work as a performer and a producer. 

In addition to performing, he has recorded for numerous bands, including Nicole McMahan, the Cold Year, Suit up Soldier, Memoryfield, Caleb Chapman’s Crescent Super Band, and others.  He also can be heard on the soundtrack to “Trek: the Movie.” He graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Trumpet Performance from Utah Valley University.  When not doing music, Jaden enjoys spending time with friends and family, and during summertime, you can find him hiking and kayaking along the Wasatch Front.
